What are Lake Lessons?

Come and enjoy our natural water ways with us these school holidays.
With swimming lessons running at both Lakes Leschenaultia & Towerrinning this January, we are looking forward to all students (of all ages), being able to have the opportunity to experience and develop their abilities in our natural environment.
At Swim 4 Fun & Health, we're big on water safety. That's why we've been running Lake Lessons over the previous years and are excited to be commencing them at Lake Towerrinning these school holidays. We believe that teaching everyone how to swim in and be around our beautiful natural water bodies really is a skill for life, not just a happy slogan.
Students will learn about what makes our rivers, oceans, lakes and streams different to our swimming pools; what to think about and look for when entering a new water body; deep water exposure and a whole bunch of valuable water safety skills and awareness.
We are endorsed through Royal Life Saving Society, with instructors RLSS or AustSwim qualified.
Please be aware that from infant levels up to and including level 1, a parent/guardian must be available to be in the water during lessons.

Lake Leschenaultia, West Beach (turn right as you enter the gates), 2135 Rosedale Road, Chidlow, WA.
Lake Towerrinning, Day Beach (turn right at the hill, as you enter the lake grounds), 64 Towerrinning Rd, Moodiarrup, WA.
When?
Summer Holiday Series (2023)
Lake Towerrinning (Darkan): 11th Jan - 13th Jan, 2023
5 x 45 minute lessons over 3 days, students will attend a morning and afternoon lesson on Wednesday & Thursday, followed by the 5th lesson on Friday morning.
Lake Leschenaultia (Chidlow): 18th Jan - 20th Jan, 2023
5 x 45 minute lessons over 3 days, students will attend a morning and afternoon lesson on Wednesday & Thursday, followed by the 5th lesson on Friday morning.
The shorter time frames are to allow easier access for more families to be able to attend lessons, as well as work in with Lake Lesch closing on high fire danger rating days (please not lessons may extend by a day, if a closure does occur).
Exact lesson times will be confirmed one week prior to lessons commencing.

(We also accept KidSport vouchers, though you will need to contact us before being able to use the voucher to enrol).

Both lakes have camping options available if wanting to add to the experience, as well as local B&B options in both areas!
